Case Study: Bento&co
Social Media Content
Bento&co specialises in Bento boxes of all shapes and sizes as well as Japanese kitchen and home goods. Located in the centre of Kyoto, a small team of dedicated staff operate both online and retail stores. We were asked to create video content for their social media pages as well as create a series of videos for YouTube. The overall request was to also include aspects of Kyoto into the videos as their audience are deeply passionate about Japanese culture. We filmed multiple times a month at their store and around Kyoto and created a range of videos ranging from stop motion to short documentaries.
Equipment:
SONY FS5, SONY A73, FUJI X-T3, DJI Ronin S
The following services were required:
ideation and storyboarding
location scouting
filming on location at festivals
filming how-to cooking videos
creating English and Japanese subtitles
Results:
We created over 60 videos for YouTube and over 100 for Facebook and Instagram. Some videos were used in paid ad campaigns on Facebook/IG and others became viral all on their own. One video was viewed over 300,000 times and the product sold out.
